Series1 help needed.
Hope someone can shed some light on this.
Bear with me as I am no mechanic! The turbo
seals let go a while back, car started and ran fine
except for lots of smoke. Had turbo completely
rebuilt by a well established specialist.
Fitted it today after cleaning the oil from the
Intercooler and pipes etc. car refused to start.
When switched on the fuel pump makes a squeaking
sound instead of the usual buzzing sound. There. Was
a strong smell of fuel. Took out the plugs and turned it
over, pure fuel spurting out of the plug holes. Took
off air box and there was about half a cupful of fuel
In the metering head. I'm hoping it may be something
simple like myself putting something on wrong.
I am also hoping this hasn't done any damage to the new
Turbo. Hope you guys can help, before I take a match to
the thing!
Cheers.
