Default Is windscreen different on mk4 escort cabriolet to hardtop?

I'm trying to find a replacement windscreen for my 87 escort rs turbo and came across one on a cabriolet but i've been told it's different.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

The windscreens are identical. It is harder to fit the screen into the cabriolet compared to a hardtop as the A-pillar is a little bit thicker, making the seal tighter in the aperture but they are the same regardless.

I took a brand new Pilkington out of my old Orion and put that into my cabby with no problems. The Orion screen was heated and I wanted it in the cab as that one was not heated. The cabriolet one went straight into the Orion as well.

out of interest can you get the window rubbers new from anywhere?! want to take one out of a car but dont want to risk cracking the screen so would be easier just cutting the old rubber and fitting a new one after!!

cossyking, do you mean the screen wont fit, or that the rubbers are different sizes to make them fit?
