Default URGENT solid lifters

does anyone know if any standard 1.6 cvh engines came with solid lifters?

The RS 1600i came with solid lifters

not all of them. the rs1600i came with solid lifters. newman sell a solid lifter kit as well but i have heard that thay are a pain in the ass to setup

As above 1600i was solid, although not needed for those revs, piece of cake to set up solid lifters.

hi mate i have a 1600i engine in my caddy as turbo engine bloow up and set a light any way the head on mine is started to tap far to much so im trying to fine out wot to do next ie,new lifters solid,or hydrolic but not sure if i can put hyd in with a 1600i std cam any help on this would be great ps i know i can get a cam kit from burton engines but just dont have that sort of cash would i be abe to fit xr3 cam with hyd lifters insteed as iv seen a xr3i cam on ebay for 70.oo skwid
