its like any area though if it becomes regular word will spread as so many are fed up with clubs that require membership fees and loads of rules, passionford caters for all tastes so it can work and as for your area I know plenty with fords in dorset like weymouth and portland as I will be moving down there in the next 2 years myself

One has been running every sunday at weston supermare for the last 9 years or so, and still is.
Although there was only 6 of us this weekend and only two of those turned up in escos's, lol
New people always welcome though
Here is the thread from the last time I bothered mentioning it on here:

No club, its only ever been by Passionford.
If you go back and look at posts from about 8 or 9 years ago you'll find it starting on here no doubt. (I was on a different username then chip-3door, I got this one in 2006) so it predates posts from this username I am using now. And obviously WAY predates you being on here so you wont have seen it first time round no doubt.
Here is a post about one of hte meets 7 years ago for example that google just threw up when I had a quick search:
https://passionford.com/forum/genera...24th-july.html
another 2005 one from Doug:

Used to be monthly, then became weekly, numbers were around 20-30 for quite a few years but as everyone sold their cossies off etc they have dwindled and now there is only about half a dozen of us normally.
I post up about it once a year or so to remind people, lol
Must be one of the oldest passionford meets to still be going at its original location I would think!
Ive been going since 2004 or so, so about 8 years now

Yeah its a pain getting over to bournemouth way, crows fly distance isnt huge but the roads are so tedious when you get stuck in traffic. Great for the drive home afterwards though on empty roads
TBH the meet we have been having at weston every week is probably not the ideal meet anymore as they've put parking eye on the carparks etc, not a problem to us as we all go for a meal in pizza hut so are allowed to park there but for turning it into a big meet again where a lot of people dont want a meal and just come for the cars it is probably not ideal now really.
We should probably move it to a more suitable place, and we'll make it once a month.
The weekly weston pizza meet can then continue on the other weeks of the month and of course anyone who wants to can attend that as well, but weekly is too often for a big meet really as not everyone can make it every week so numbers are never as good, where as if its once a month then people make more of an effort.
There is a harvester pub with a big carpark right next to J25 of the M5 (taunton junction) that would probably lend itself well to being a monthly meet (I used to attend a vauxhall meet there years ago and the pub never minded us there), and being taunton instead means it would make it under an hour from bristol/weston/yeovil/exeter/barnstaple, so would be more suitable from that point of view too.
3rd Sunday of the month I reckon would make sense, as I cant think of anything else on locally that night and sundays have always worked well for southwest meets in the past.
So who would be in if we try and kick this off on July 15th? At Taunton Harvester at 7pm?
Have started a thread about it to try and drum up some more interest:
