Xr2 Turbo Project
Hi guys,
Would like some advice if possible.
On the look out for a decent Xr2, gonna strip and restore.
Want to build a nice everyday/track car and go for a big power turbo engine.
What do you think i should go for? cvh 1.6, cvh 1.9, zvh 2.1????
Where is best place to source an engine? What sort of management will i need????
Need a plan!!! Somebody help!!!

Awrite mate,i have a m2 xr2 with a 1.9cvh turbo in it and it goes very well!(183 bhp at the wheels)It's a fully stripped out track machine with low comp bottom end, steel crank, stage 3 big valve head,t3.5 hybrid, cossie intercooler,re-mapped ecu, straight cut quaife box,ap 4 paddle clutch etc etc etc!
I would not look past this method as they go and handle like fuck on the track!
Be prepared as it wont be cheap though!

Sounds good mate!
Im gonna fully strip mine out, roll cage etc.
Want a reliable 200 bhp engine so i can still use it everyday.
But still fast enough to keep up with my mates 400 bhp 3 door.
Gonna try build it over space of 6 months- to a year.

True True! They are totally awesome when turbo'd!,last time i was out on track there was a 4x4 350bhp saff that come out the pit lane right at the back of me and i ended up half a lap or more in front of that and a Evo 7 that was at the back of the saff!
