Yep the S1 kit was an arse to fit its still not 100%, I've got some fettling to do soon
and yes its a carbon bonnet
I did it in the car park behind my flat, prob not the best idea...
You gotta trim the unwanted arch bits off and hope you got it right cos there ain't no goin back lol
Dan I did consider it but it would be too much of an S1 wannabe, so I left it as it is
Thanks for the comments guys, TBH I didn't expect this many replies liking it lol

Heres some bits I did on my days off....
M3 mirrors, probably not to everyones taste but I always hated the original ones....
and my bling rear strut brace...
got my Konis and Eibach springs fitted on the rear now along with the petrol tank and new pads.
I'ev declared it SORN now so I'm going to get on with stripping the engine out for the 1.8ZVH

Nice, fella..altho I prefer the 'full' carbon bonnet look. Not keen on the part-paint. Are you leaving it like it is, or stripping it & going full-original carbon whilst the engine's out??

Cage is all fitted, what a nightmare.... lol
I've still got to bolt it in, going to take a trip to my local hardware place 2moro...
and a quick pic of the bonnet pins fitted....
More work to do on it 2moro, hopefully the engine will be ready to drop out by the end of the day

well I got a bit carried away today and this happened...
Its nearly ready to drop now, all the bling is sat in the shed awaiting a good cleaning session, just need to drop the lump then I can concentrate on getting the ZVH built....
Should be out by the weekend
Jim it is carbon fibre, but thanks for the offer

Been a bit slack over the last month but I managed to get the lump out a few weeks ago in about an hour, not bad for my first effort
This is what she looks like now
Engine bay is really dirty so I've strated on a good degreasing and polishing spree but rain stopped play today so I'll be out there again ASAP
I did manage to fit my new bling brace for my servo, I'll get some pics of it 2moro

Not much of an update cos I keep being lazy lol, but the engine bay is now clean... (well not by some peoples standards but its cleaner than it was)
You can see my tubular stainless servo strut in this one (cheers Jano)
All the old MFi engine loom is zip tied up and out of the way
All my stainless bits and bobs are clean
My dash surround is painted and ready to go in
Had a look at the battery tray and its shot so I'm off to buy another one 2moro...
Also had these turn up this morning
This is the state of the interior at the mo
more pics when I'm off work again, hopefully of the engine!!
