Looks very nice Glenn!
Just goes to show what a bit a bit of elbow grease can do eh?
I miss the silver one I had a little while ago, good clean car that was. If it wasn't for the fact my daughter is miles away, I'd have another one like a shot! Need mpg over bhp now!

If you have a DA polisher there are some good guides on youtube, I watched them and then attacked the mother in laws fiesta, it came up well.

Yes mate, just pull the whole airbox upwards out of its rubber mounts, pull the resonator out of the side then push the airbox back in to its mounts. Takes 60 seconds at the most!

I used Megs 105 on a orange he pad and then refined it with megs 205 and a green hex pad.
I cant find the before pictures but this car had only ever been through automated car wash or Ł5 scratch washes.
This pic shows what the bonnet was like on the left prior to me having a go.

you could always do what I did to my OE airbox and fit a SVT snorkel rather than just removing the resonator box

Looks a top job Stu.
Steve them snorkles are the same as tranny connects. Would it not be sucking in warm air.

Ive noticed you have the different grill panel that directs the air from the grill to the snorkle.

its the upgrade from auto models and it forces more air direct into airbox

The only reason you would take the resonator off is for a bit of induction noise. A deflector panel will just direct air in from the grille instead of from somewhere under the bonnet lol

Surely its better getting cold air from the grill than it is a small gap in between the bonnet and the top of the grill.

Not uncommon that mate. Perfect excuse for some lowering springs then!
