my mk3 1.6 ghia resto so far
i have owned this car for around 8 years it's been sorned for 6 of them lol
THIS IS MOX 760 X STILL IN RESTORATION IT'S A MORE DOOR 16 GHIA I HAVE DECIDED TO KEEP IT AS ORIGINAL AS POSS WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A 5 SPD G/BOX THIS IS THE ONLY MOD THAT WILL BE DONE ON IT
ON THE SPIT GETTING THE GUNGE OFF
FRONT END FITTED STILL DOING THE BORING STUFF
ANOTHER VIEW ON THE HOMEMADE SPIT
IT'S BEEN A WHILE SINCE THIS CAR SAW THE ROAD STILL A GOOD SOLID CAR WITH THE VERY MINIMUM OF REPAIR WORK NEEDED SHE HAS ONLY COVERED 50K MILES 39K WHEN I BOUGHT IT

ghia resto
i will just end up showing it as i do not want to use it as a daily driver so it will be fair weather use only i have just about every single exterior part to replace as new so it should be a good looking car i don't think there are too many ghia's surviving in show condition

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
great resto - you've clearly spent a lot of time doing it this quick!
glad you kept it oem as it'll be worth more in the future!

PassionFord Regular
Happy memories. My mum had a 1.6 Ghia, same colour (W reg) new and we bought it from her in '88. That's it in the pic when, by chance, we parked up behind another one just one digit difference in the reg. We had it a few years before the missus pranged it, then had a black ghia (D reg) and finally a red Mk3 Ghia (H reg) - all 1.6.

MOX 760X
Message to The Big Man, you caried out the body restoration on the above car, which I now own.
No mention of what you did to the engine. Did you make any mofications ? eg conversion of head to run on unleaded ?
Or indeed anything else ?
Many thanks
