been a long since I posted here
Shes been off the road since end sept. Only started a couple of times.
Plans.
thinking of pulling engine/transmission. deep clean engine sort out any leaks, convert to manual. New Stainless exhaust. possibly selling wheels in favour of escos or 17"softlines.

Glad you have still got it. Would you not wanna but a cossie V6 in it.

My old sierra looked well on the escos wheels but it sometimes tram lined. I was running 215/40/16 tyres. Escos wheels go for a fortune now.

Me and the wife are expecting in a few weeks im looking forward to taking them out in the sierra.

The prices of v6 cos engines have gone up a lot resently...
What as crossed my mind more than once is sell both leon and sierra and buy a mk2 focus st3 around 07 reg are up from 5.5k.

Might be a bit obscure and I'll probably get hate mail but what about Saab turbo engine? Vauxhall to type 9 bell housing will fit your box and engine will mate up to cossie intercooler. Loom easy just need ecu removed. Only hassle is you'll need a custom sump and mounts but easy tuned 400 hp on plenty in scrappies for decent money. Just a thought

I think ford engines in fords is certainly a sweeter combo and better for selling on but if you don't like revving the tits off a zetec or duratec we're kinda screwed for a cheap (turbo) engine .Ybs too expensive now ,ecoboost will happen fairly soon I think the tricky bit is the direct injection ?

I've got my eye on a 2000e, blue over silver. Spotted it a little while back and it's motd until next month but sorn and according to the mot history is only 47k and has done very little miles from year to year so think it could be correct as the car looks mint inside and out. Once my weddings out the way next month and the tests out I'm going knocking as its sitting on a little dead end street near me.

Your looks really good on that wheels and you've done a good job bringing her back to health. Keep it up m8
