Default Focus Cosworth Build.

Just started another project while the escort's away for its fab work to be finished. My mate had a Mk1 1.6 focus round the back of my garage with a blown top end and i've Always wanted to do the cosworth conversion, so thought it would be a good time to get stuck into doing it

Managed to find a Ecos tunnel and strut tops straight away so makes life abit easier. Started stripping it about 15 days ago and so far we've managed to get the tunnel in place and spot welded all the way round, so at the moment its going pretty well

Next its to get the focus struts top cut off and the new ones lined up ready to be welded on.

Here's a few pics of the work so far and we'll try keep it update as much as possible

Lots of competition in this catagory as theres a couple other focos builds going on. Whats your overall goal with this? Normal looking focus/sleeper or wide track beast?

Just abit of fun really, had a shell and have 90% of the parts I need already so thought I may aswell get one done while I have chance lol
But it will be a sleeper, outside's staying as standard as possible

Sounds good, when you hoping to get yours finished for?

And I haven't got that far yet, i'll get the engine and box sat in place once its back. And start to get them lined up and take it from there.
Atm just concentrating on the tunnel and the engine mounts

Had a few hours after work tonight working on the focus, managed to get most of the tunnel welded up inside.
