Cossie big wing mk1
Been lurking on here for a while and always been meaning to post up my long ongoing resto project mk1 so while im stuck in house recovering from my hernia op no better time lol
This was when I bought it around 8 or 9 years ago:0 only used it for a couple months then wasn't happy with a few bits so started ripping out rusty strut tops
And ended up with this thinking wtf hav I done and closed over garage for aboot a year lol
Got it in a mates garage where I had enough room to work on it
New front crossmember ful length inner wing tips and slam panel fitted
Wingtip reinforcement plug welded on
Big gearbox tunnel in
Full set of floor pans in
Ready to put on rollover jig
And up it goes
Rear arches done
Front wings fitted thank to a mate lining them up cos I couldn't get them sitting worth a shit lol and bubble fitted
Flipped her over and started on 6 linking the atlas onto her
Stripped back down and floor prepped
Etch primed
About 8 bottles of gravi tex later
Axle brace fitted and painted
Engine bay prepped and etch primed
Forgot to put cage pics in order but here's rear half
Underside painted but forgot to take pic and off spit and rolling
Inside all prepped and 2k high build primered
Now painted
At my mates body shop now for prep and paint on outer body and panels
Primer flatted back ready for paint
And finally after all these years of wondering how it would look with paint
Doors bonnet and boot refitted and looking good if I do say so myself lol well happy with where its at just now
Got this stripped down for paint big wing baffled sump and new gaskets water pump etc to be done

Yeah William think everybody that gets deep into one of these Restos finds that problem tho lol and yeah she didn't look to bad when I got her but few wee bits I wasn't happy with and the more you dig the more u find then before u know its a top to bottom rebuild plus the over bored cross flow on 40s was ok but no cutting the mustard considering I sold my saff cos to get this
