As promised...
This morning I went to my Uncles Garage. We had it up on the ramp and had a good look and things seem a bit more positive now
The worse part which needs attention is the "Inner wings" I will be dropping this into my Uncles in a week or so. I have taken pics and will post these in the near future.
Slight work also needs to be done on the floor plan...but this is not as bad as I antisipated, I am still going to get this done though.
When I got back from my uncles garage my mates (Rob493 and his missus), Steve my temp banned from PF brother (SteveRS1980) and I stripped out the car ready for the work to be done. We removed the side skirts and bumpers, took out the carpets, interior and gash fans - who ever put that on there
I expected the worst when I took off the body kit and thought that the car would probably have rusted arches...but luck seems to now be on my side and it was all a'ok
Here are some pictures of us in action today...
Drivers side wheel arch off!
Front bumper off showing GASH fans!
Wing & Front!
James (JimRS) putting wheel back on!
Rear drivers side outta side sills!
And...again!
Rear bumper off!
Rob (Rob493) posing?
James (JimRS) turning car round to take other side sills off!
Passenger rear side wheel arch!
Striped out boot!
This is the top weld on the floor pan...well, Filler how shite!
Floor pan!
Floor pan again..!
Paula pealing Silicone off the boot!
Front of RST without fans, MUCH BETTER!
Steve's (SteveRS1980) son Harry, AKA My nephew! cleaning floor pan for me!
Harry wanted to clean and mop up the floor pan, Rather him than me it was skanky!
Rob's 4x4 Sapphire Cossie in background!
I like to play cars (in & out in & out etc...)
Still doing the Bloody wheel!
Tomorrow we are going to be removing the engine and then it will be ready to go into the garage for the work to be done...will supply with more pics...lets hope that it is a bit warmer!!!

You'll get that sorted easily, to be honest it ain't nothing I wouldn't expect from a car that age or ANY S2 to be honest
It's the inner wing and front wing hanging off you need to sort, other stuff is just superficial mate
Looks a good solid car you have there, best D reg I have seen!!

Dont you just love what the RS`s body kits can hide??
It really does not look to bad mate, nothing a bit of time and effort wont sort, atleast when you do it yourself you know its all been done right
Good luck

Day 2......
Started taking engine out today, Quite a tight fit with limited space Anyways took some piccys of the update so far..
LOOK...Stage 3 Hybrid Turbo and a -34 actuator
Steve (Left) Rob (Right) finaly got the headlight out Highlight of Robs day that was
So....the state of that engine doesnt seem like a rebuild to me Everything was screwed on baby tightness
Didnt bother taking rest of engine out because driveshaft is a pig disconnecting on the floor So....I'll get me uncle to do the rest Lifes so easier with a Ramp!
