One thing I've noticed that I'm not 100% happy with - I purposely plumbed the standard recirculating dump valve in as I don't want the full on 'Pshhhhhh' noise, it's still as loud as a diaphragm one.

I got the original clears mate, they're mint.

You can have these ambers if you want, I paid Ł20 for them, they are dull (need a wash inside) and one has a chip

Small update, Took the car down to NMS to be live mapped.

Current spec is,

Turbo technics T35.55
Siemens 3102 55lb injectors
K&N panel filter
Mongoose exhaust
Pro Alloy RS500 cooler

Two and a half hour journey down in the worst possible rain, when we arrived the car was a total mess.

Karl and Olly done a brilliant job in mapping it, although I've not had much chance to use it, it does pull a lot harder now.

Not as much as I'd hoped but I know what to do to improve it.

Car made 360 - 365 bhp with 28psi peak and holds at 26-27psi.

Only thing holding the car back was the clutch. The car has a std old stock Genuine Ford AP clutch kit and you can get it to slip in 4th and 5th.

So Karl recommended the fitment of an AP 6 paddle formula clutch and fit the AB07 inlet cam I have. So that's a job for next yeat and I'll pop back down for a map tweak after introducing an 044 pump, swirl pot and AN fittings.

Also need an uprated breather as the std is struggling now.

Hopefully should touch 400bhp then, Got next Saturday to totally gut the car and make it clean for Cumbria as I've come down with fever so no playing with cars today

What clutch do you recommend Pete?

Karl said to use an AP formula 6 paddle, not sure if I should go hydraulic at the same time

Use a helix pressure plate with a AP 6 plate Mike on a standard cable it will be very stiff so hydrolic is a better softer feel but I found the bite point to be horrid

Looks a minefield with choices for the hydro clutch.

Reyland buy and forget? (Seems expensive for what's there)
Buy bits separate? (What would I need)
Centre push or rod type?

Yes Glenn, std good for up to 430 so I'm told.

Though the plan is to introduce a swirl pot, so I will fit a 044 pump then to feed the rail

We attended Cumbria with the Durham RSOC on Sunday and although it chucked it down on the way there, it turned out a nice day overall. Spoke to a good few people who I didn't know, and received a lot of positive feedback

It's been a long time since I attended a show with the car and it brought it all back, roll on Croft

Only managed a couple of pics and I'm no photographer

Thanks to Jeff for his help throughout the day

Has to be the AP formula 6 paddle, with hydraulic conversion if you want it done proper.

The problem I had was, when I started the resto I wanted everything as near standard as possible. Then towards the end I had a change in direction so my std clutch struggled.

I'm stuck with 360-365 now with it slipping from time to time when I wanted 400.

The clutch fitted now is a genuine Ford old stock AP plate.

How many miles has that clutch done Mike?

If it is new it requires gentle driving to bed in just like brakes. My std ford clutch started to slip at 30psi in 5th but that is on a 48 so plenty of torque.

I now run a helix 6 paddle which is fine.

Probably done around 4-500 miles whilst I ran the engine in then it went straight in for mapping.

Karl said it is struggling, tbh it will last the way I drive it for now

Hi, im fairly new here, got a couple sapphire cossies here which im going to make into one, Ive got one on a rollover jig at the moment, getting ready to paint it underneath.
I am in total awe of the work you have done on yours though, that must of taken alot of dedication and sometimes forcing yourself to go out and get on with it! I take my hat off to you, and the car is a credit to you mate, top job!

Mike, don't fit a swirl pot when you change the fuel pump, it'll spoil the original look to the underside.

I was thinking of mounting a black swirl pot under the rear footwell, keeping the std pump and cradle to feed the pot and mount a 044 pump alongside it to feed the rail, what do you think?

I'm looking to make or buy one of these to weld onto the clutch arm, does anyone have an idea on what to get and use.

I was thinking along the lines of a steel bar cut down and partially drilled?
