Hi, I got this car off my Uncle in 1990! But as I wasn't old enough to drive it was left in my Granddads garage. Due to my parents splitting up I didn't have much contact with this side of my family. I found out last week that she is still sitting in the garage!!!!!! As you can imagine I was over the moon!
Being a female who does most of her own car diy I wanted to know if there is anything I need to check before 1) Moving her and 2) Starting her up?????
I so excited to find out I own a classic.
Many thanks in advance

Found a local garage that sells LRP. I take it the battery will be knackered. What about the brake pipes? and will the rad still be ok. She was a working std car when put in the garage but hasn't been touched for 21 years!!!!

It Wasnt Me!
Really depends on what condition it's in....
Me personally would:
Fresh battery, drain tank and put a couple of gallons of fresh fuel in
renew oil and oil filter
remove airbox
remove spark plugs and coil lead
squirt some WD down the plug holes into the bores
turn engine by hand (24 mm socket and breaker bar assuming its a pinto)
Get ignition lights, makesure there is an oil pressure light, turn the car over off the key (might need to dunt the starter if it's forgot what to do) wait til oil pressure light goes out, crank for a couple more seconds to ensure oil circulates engine
refit new plugs, leads and coil lead..cap full of petrol down the carb, and give it a shot, see if it fires up!
Thats the engine side of things, for the rest, it needs to go on a ramp and fully inspected.
