Nowt wrong with that welding. Looks like the car had one hell of a hard life with all that rust! Good thing to see it being saved.

Yep, the car has rust cancer, but it's slowly healing. It was never looked after, so it was slowly eaten at. And my dad said today he was just going to strip and scrap it if I hadn't asked for it, so I think I'm doing a good deed haha

I'm nearing the half way mark. There is small parts on various chassis leg parts, various small floor pan patches, the drivers rear quarters, drivers rear inner arch, the rear floor bits, spare wheel well, sills, transmittion tunnel, the

So far I have done 80% of the tranny tunnel, passenger floorpan and driver floor pan done, front crossmember done, front chassis legs, lots of small holes, most of the rear chassis legs done.

I doubt he will, as his dad had it I believe. Still a way to go with the welding then, but you're getting there.

A lot a lot a lot of rot !! The whole front end is a mess has rust under the battery tray right trough the bulkhead. On the dreiver side there is no inner sill left there is just part of the driver side running board and half a driver side floor pan. The passenger side is not as bad but still has a big hole in the footell, the jacking point has been lost somewhere sometime and rust along the inner side.
To sum it all up the chassis is twisted sidewaysdue to a horrible accident some years ago and a "farmer" panelbeater who did a very bad job doing the repairs. The previous owner did the repairs to cover up the damage using fibreglass , a lot of winshield sealer and chemical metal. I finished removing half a garbage bag of this stuff after 4 days working on it.
Now all the damage is evident and i must decide quickly what to do with the old lady

No updates till tomorrow greg,

Bon, sounds nasty I found my rear arch was just fibreglass yesterday, and i'm gonna try and get in touch with previous owners to get as much info as possible off them. Also found a small ding hidden under filler in the rear quarter

Unless your attached to your car like I am to this, I would just bin it and re shell. Not worth the effort as it is just too far gone by the sounds of it...

For uploading photos : www.photobucket.com Then upload them on there, the scroll over the photo you want up, it will come up with a menu, with four options, click the bottom one with an IMG code on it, then ctrl and v into the text box

Job done

Shut up Lewis, I have to make lots of things and weld lots of things, you dont

one for a drill
one for a hole cutter and other stuff
I was also pre accupied sorting out the outdoor storage boxes as she is coming in for winter

But today I got a fair few of the tiny drill holes welded and welded all of the drain holes up. Tomorrow it's up early and back on it

Cheers On the bottom lip of the sill there is a mixture of plugwelds on parts of it and the entire sill has been seam welded, which took a good while to do.
