3dr sierra rally car project
I bought this shell from just past silverstone and brought it back up to morecambe, only to find the numberplate had a sticker on for a company just down the road.
so it looks like its done a full circle.
the shell came with the cage already fitted and the modified strut tops. its been fully seam welded and is in very good condition.
the only area needing attention is a new rear panel, which i have and the lower rear corners need repairing.
so far i have collected a group a sump guard, group a rear billys, group n front billys and a set of comp mo 5 spokes.
heres some pics of the shell, i've already removed the rear panel and started cutting out the rot in the lower rear corners
and finally with the new rear panel just resting on
cheers Matthew

That looks like a great project you have there.
Are you intending to rally it when you've finished?
The shell looks mint everywhere except the back panel - any idea why that bit got so rusty?
Cheers

Hi Chris, my main plan is to do road rallying and a bit of stage rallying.
i have a few mates who are heavily into road rallying so thats the main aim.
Its quite restrictive on engine choice, so cosworth turbo is out the window. maybe thinking of the mk5 rs2000 engine to start with, but may just use a pinto to get started
cheers Matthew
