Mental 205 nearly finished...
A friend of mines bin building this for a few years now, started off as a normal 1.9.... then mi16'd... then got a set of bodies but soon got bored of the power, go got took off the road, completely nut and bolt rebuilt and a new power plant...
Still awaiting mapping, but is stroked out to a 2.3 running on a GT35 of some kind.....
to say i cant wait for my passenger ride is an understatement!!!

its still FWD, but the track has been widened, and rosejointed up everywhere.... wont help much tho as he's expecting in the region of 700bhp+

tbh i think he knows that 700bhp is gonna be insaine to put down, its running a focus RS box with a LSD of somekind (ill find out more) with a custom bellhousing, the guy can seriously pedal a car, but if it turns out too much, he'll just turn the boost down, but its nice to know it can have that power!

Hes done all the work himself, (dont quote me on the engine building, but im pretty sure he did that too) with a bit of knowledge from Gordon from Street racers, custom made up all the parts himself!

the nutty one
how the hell has he got 700bhp out of it i had a 205gti which i mi16 turbo'd and when i dyno'd it i only had 480bhp or there abouts and that was quick enough killed 4 gear boxes on that till i got one from a 309 gti and had it uprated and the bloke who built most of the car for me said if i could get a good enough gear ratio it'd do arounf 190mph
but never tried as that idea scared me to much lol
but surely 700bhp will take it well over 200mph ??
bearing in mind the car weighs the same as a burger double whopper and fries lmao

And in pretty sure no 309 (same as 205) box will get to. 190, unless you had 20" rim's?
An surely you can see it's not an mi16 engine, for start the manifold is on the wrong side of the engine lol

and as for doing close to 200mph, i dont think anyone in their right mind would want to take a fwd 205 with no real aero mods to that sort of speed, i know i wouldnt!!!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
a mutual friend of ours is running 609bhp on a GT30, and i know they have spoke alot about it all, theres no real reason to believe that it wont to achieve that power, but like you say, even if it 'only' makes 550bhp, its still going to be incredibally quick!!!

You wont get 700hp on a off the self GT35 on pump fuel, you would get 700hp on a GTX or another hybrid style turbo.
700hp on race fuel easy.
