mk3 xr2i 1.8 16v escort 1.8 16v zetec conversion
hi there im new to this and in need of any help anyone can possibly give me ive currently got a mk3 xr2i with a 1.8 16v escort engine in it with the orig xr2i loom and a mondeo dewy ecu and am havin starting problems i.e fuel pump running constantly and when/if it does start it cuts out near enough straight away.

Off the top off my head i think the dewy ecu is a mondeo 2 litre one so if the pins havent been altered to suit the change you're basically pissin in the wind and it wont run right unless you swap the neccessary pins or replace with standard ecu, hope that helps

yes the dewy is a mondeo 2litre ecu but is plug and play for the xr2i wiring loom so ive heard at least but i know have a pinout for ecu so between that and haynes will hopefully be on to a winner

seeing as yet another problem occurred today and my original loom has burnt out i was thinking about getting the llom from the escort gti and running the managment from the gti any ideas weather it would work or not
