Default The other Foto Love Story - Escort RS Cosworth / The END is comming!

Hi!

Fist of all - sorry for my bad english! I hope my pics are better
than the text around!

Now its time for my first story about my Escort RS Cosworth.
The reason for the story is, that i have my second meeting in germany
and some folks are not uptodate with my Escort Cosworth.

Its all about my Escort RS Cosworth - bought in october 1998 as FIRST (!!)
owner!!

Yes, its right. I am the first owner of these Escort Cosworth. The Carhttps://passionford.com/forum/editpost.php?do=editpost&p=4426489
was about 6 Years at my Dealer as an tax-deductible item.

Bought: Oktober 1998
First time on the road: April 1999
Build: May 1992 (one of the first cars overall)
KM: 700

The Car has a complete Wolf-Kit in 1998. This contains Rims (8x18);
Bilstein Suspension; Stage One (260PS); some interior gimmiks.

One of the first Pictures from the car:

--

The first project was a very large car hifi and multimedia station with all
fine stuff in the year 2000.

--

The first meetings for my car. Here are some Pics from my archievment:

Ascheberg 2002

Cosworth-Treffen im Saarland 2002

Abschlußtreffen des CCD 2002 am Nürburg-Ring

The best Pic in the year 2002:

--

The second projekt was in winter 2002/2003 where the escort get new rims and
a charge cooler. The rims are OZ F1 Racing 8,5x 18. Some stainless steal also
gets under the bonnet. Some parts are chromed.

Some meetings in the year 2003:

Paaren Glien (Berlin)

Ascheberg 2003

Hildesheim 2003

Saarlouis 2003

Hollenstedt (Hamburg)

Landgraaf

Nürburg Ring 2003 - Abschlußtreffen CCD

In winter 2003 i´ve changed is the tacho & speedmeter.
A company build the complete instruments in original design for me with
updated scales. (rpm 7500; boost 2,5 bar ect.)
The company who have produced my instruments also produce a large
range of products for Wiesmann Roadster.

at least two pics from 2003

--

Some Pics from Winter 2003/2004. There are a lot of stainless steal and chromed
that you find under my bonnet. Some carbon for the front also now on the car.

Early 2004 - some pics from under the car:

--

The second part follows later....
I hope you enjoy it!

The Ford Dealer fit all the parts. I dont have the Wolf Heckspoiler (upper tale).

You can´t see the Suhe Turbo Technic 320 two times... It only exists one time! mine!!
its absolute unique!

Now - its time for part #2 from the story!

First of all - some great meetings from 2004.

Vohenstrauß

Doningthon - England (National Day des RS Owners Club)

On National Day in Doninthon - there was a fourth place at the concour for my car!

One point on my trip was Power Engeneering. The rolling road says: 398BHP and 571NM,

Subaru-Treffen in Marl anno 2004

Landgaarf

End of the Year - Cosworth meeting on the Nürburgring!

The Year 2005 was the year of my Fiesta (1,8l 16V Zetec Turbo). There is only one
Picture from my Cossie. It was in Saarlouis.

The next big winter project was a bigger Break for the cosworth. Hispec Calibers was
the choose. front: 356mm 6 Pot und rear: 330mm 4 Pot.
Some parts are powder coated and a lot of Proflex gets under the car.

The Year 2008 - the most impressive meeting was Hoch Ybrig in Switzerland! Great
Landscape; location and a lot of alcohol!

Hoch Ybrig - Unteriberg (Schweiz)

2008 - The year of my first own meeting at my home! Haltern am See!!

Das SDC-Treffen im Jahr 2008 in Bexbach
This meeting should be the last meeting that the Cossie will see for a long time.

The third Part follows these days...
Bye
Sascha

12. September 2008 - German Autobahn A4 07.00 in the morning....

The way to XR/RS Meeting in Landgraaf Holland 2008 near Düren. My lucky thing was, that there was a Truck Stop. If the problem where 5 minutes later or earlier - the car where completly burn down. There where a lot of problems with the insurance. But after 4 Month they pay a little bit.

...i had to choose - buy a new Focus RS MK2 or rebuild the car. It took 3 seconds and i decide me for the rebuild of MY cossie!

a really nice car you have there, real shame about the fire but it looks as though you are doing a very good job at rebuilding it.

This is amazing! Don't know what I would have done if the same thing happened to me but it takes a hell lot of courage to rebuild a car like this. I'm really impressed!

Keep it up mate

Hi!

The car was now at the paintshop. The engine was checked and the decision was to build a complete new one with a brand new HTT-Block, Garett GT30 and some other fine components.
