Default H plate S2 Resto **FOR SALE**

I bought this S2 from Bigryrs with a view to restore it but due to a house move I need to sell it. Currently it stands as a bare rolling shell on Konis, have a look at the pictures below on the work that has been done. I have most parts to complete the build which can be bought together or seperarte to the car. I can arrange for the car to be delivered if that helps too if you live local to me.

Started work on floor a little while back. A little sign of rust and holes here and there resulted in 2 1/4 new pans. All seam welded top and bottom.

Finished LH sill and RH arch yesterday. Didn't know how good the finish on the weld should be (never used filler before) but hopefully it's good enough...

I've been busy with other things lately and my wife is due next week so the car is taking a back seat for a while. I'm in no rush anyway, I just tinker on it when I have the time.

I've bought an FRST engine with loom, full set of bushes and rear disc conversion plates. I've managed to strip and clean all the rear suspension parts ready for powder coating so my next job is to clean the underside before I can refit them. Plan to have that done before the winter sets in so it can hide it away in the garage again.

Managed to clean up and paint the inside and underside - what a crap job, glad it's nearly finished. I've sprayed two coats of primer on, still got to seam seal then underseal it. I got my suspension parts back from powder coat and rear disc set up to go on when it's done

Next job - front arches

A little update…

I repaired the rear chassis rails, thought it’d be a quick job but the previous MOT repair was bad.

Cut out and applied some rust cure

Used stainless steel to replace, welded with stainless wire.

Painted underside - 3 coats colour and 2 coats clear.
