1990 Escort Bonus-Now For Sale?
Hi guys, hope your all wel!
Been quite some time since ive been on here. Last build i progressed on here was my black Bonus Turbo. Built it in 6 months, piled all my time and money into it, then after being on the road for only 3 weeks, it got nicked and burned out.... I vowed at that time never to return to the fold, it was time to move on....
Anyway, for over a year now ive managed to keep away, but now me and the girlfreind have moved out of our rented house and gone back to each of our parents so that we can pay off some debt and get some savings together for a new house, it means ive been getting really tempted to get another while i have a bit more money. So, luckily i stumbled upon a 52k, 1 previous owner car on ebay. Easily the best bargain i have ever got in my whole life! Have had to do a 400 mile round trip though to get it home, with many thanks to my 1 in a million girlfriend for helping me!
So here it is!!!!
Took all the interior out to assess the damage..... absolutley mint!
Wheel arch lips are spot on....
Mint boot floor-just wants a clean and polish....
Engine bay is really good, just wants a clean and polish as well.There arent even any rusty scabs on the slam panel ike usual-Battery tray and fuse box are in great nick!
First things first at the moment are to get it an MOT(its been stored off the road for a year) and to make it as mint as possible-i have booked next wednesday off to totally valet it from top to bottom. Then i wil outline exactly what you guys can expect from this build

Welcome back mate. Remember the black one from ages ago, absolutely loved it, looked spot on. Such a shame it met the fate it did!
Let me know if you see any others. You seem a genius at finding them, and I'm really tempted buy a MK4, and bonus's seem great shells to start from. Find me a mint one!!!!!!

shame about your old escort mate looked very nice. do like a bonus sleeper Dont think i have ever seen a rotten bonus. They get looked after by old people. Good luck with it mate will be keeping an eye on this one!!!

Gutted about the black one it looked mint, how could they do that!???
new car looks like a good base to start from, I say keep it in theme with the black one! not OTT, still bonus looks but with a turbo lump!

Its my old one mate, its the new owner selling it but i have allowed him to use the pics. The estate got scrapped as i went off the road in it and kinked the roof!
