Euro/Cali mk4 Fiesta
Hey i'm new here so please be gently, I am a lover of fords, dont know why cz on a whole there pretty crap , but there's something i lve about em.
Here's my little project which i've had for about four years but only started going to town on it about a year and a half ago.
I'll pop the full build progress up another night when photobucket hasn't befriended es like its doing now, But basically this is it from when i first got it to the latest pics i have of it.

Originally i diden't intend to keep it as it was my first car so plan was just too tidy it up.
As bought.
Trial fitment of colour coded and extended front bumper. Hated the textured 1s.
Standard focus alloys 15". New grill
New mirrors and painted grill
And that was how a was gona leave it till i could afford a zetec-s.

Phase2.
I've always had a soft spot for vw's and they way a lot of them are styled so after deciding to keep it i set to wokrk making it euro\cali.
Flushed boot, lowered 40mil, pressed plates.
New rims 15x7 compomotive th mono's, tyres were far too big.
Then went for a slight paint makeover.
Redo of the front bumper after hitting a pigeon 1 morning.
New colour for the roof
And back spoiler.
Hmmmmm Shiny fresh paint
.
Its first time on show. Last year at modded nats.
That was it for a while till i decided wot too do next.

It still didt look right so i bought some 165\50\15 tyres for a that little bit stretch.
And some Dtm nirrors.
The new tyres meant i had loads more arch room now so bought some coilovers and that was it for a good while.

Phase 3 was the major make overbefore the 1st show of year ISTS 2008.
Took the car to my palls garage where i got him to weld me a few bits up.
Bonnet was badboy'd and washers were welded over relocting em to
scuttle panel. GENUINE sprinter wing vent was welded in to the driver side wing.
All repeaters were welded over. Plates were welded in to where the
mirrors usded to be making custom mounts fro new mirrors. Lockes were
welded over. Rear arches were cut and welded to allow more arch room
Rear washer jet was also welded over. I then filled all this as well as a few
other dings and dents that were picked up along the way and it came back like this 3 weeks before ISTS.
Looking good. naaaart
I work in a Ford ARC bodyshop, so booked a week off work 2 weeks before ISTS and set about it for a week.
Stripped, prepped
rest of car in boxes
Drivers door prepped.
Primed tailgate.
Rear primed, Front ready to prime.
Shell ready to hit.

Thanks forr all the nice comments guys. Makes it all worth while.
I will get the build prog finished at some point lol. It just a
nightmare shifting through all the pictures i have of it.
The colour scheme originally came from a lambretta front panel
that a colleague of mine did. The metallic brown against the
cream looked amazing, so a thought f**k it and just went for it
no photshops, no drawings, no looking back. Thank f**k it paid off
or i would have looked like a right chump. Good times.
Shell painted. (Apologies if av missed some pics out, there's too many.)
Sprinter wing vent.
Front bumper
Will get the rest finished later.

Finished painting the rest of the bits on the saturday morning.
Flat and polished all the bits that had been painted and started putting
it back together. Had to take it back round my pals garage to finish
as work had shut.
Half way through build up
Almost there
A finished putting it together that night drove it up the road proud as
punch, Got pulled by the plod and got a 30 quid fine for me pressed
plates. Gutted.
Week after was ISTS at donnington went down to that and a good friend
of mine took this for es.
Pic by mallo
Few more pics that i took after i got back from donnington. Not the best
but i'm no good with a camera

Interior wasn't left unbutchered neither. lol. Got a set of ka seats
from a pal for 100 quid plus my old 1s. In oatmeal leather. Bargain.
Front 1s were a straight fit.
Back 1s arn't quiet as snug. Had to extend the bars that they click into
at the top. But took the seatbelts out as i never have any1 in the back
so they there more as eye candy.
Ditched the old steering wheel and airbag for a 280ml momo team
jobbie and a quick release boss off ebay.
Decide to change the dash before FITP. Bought an old 1 from a scrappy
primed it smoothed it, then painted it.
8 ball gear knob and relocated head unit.

5 hours to get there due to diversions so was well pissed off wen i
got there, but turned out a good day and weather was sweet.
Pic i took. sporting new dash and rear opening quarter windows.
Quality pic that a friend from UKFN took.
Next show was modified nationals. Nothing had changed for that show

I really really like this car, saw it at donny and it really stood out.
Sorry its a bit dark!
I'm sure I took more pictures of it, but I seem to have been too busy taking pictures of the girlies on display.
