Default newbie alert frst green strips on

hi ppl i just thought i would share my prodject with u i saved this from the scrapyard i brought it for 500 and it was fooked lol it blew up 5 mins after picking up on the way home a big cloud of smoke and a hole in no3 piston as big as a 50p so my gf towed me 50miles (i hated that) any way i built my engine back up cleaned it all sprayed the bay and slam pannel and all that but its still needs lots mor work il keep u updated here s pics of what iv done so far

this is it when i picked it up i agree it looks really nice but photo s r deceiving the bonnet is bent so bad it was unusable the last owner left the bonnet catches undone and it flipped up on him at 70mph so that crushed the scuttle pan and smashed the window to

this is after hours of hard work spraying the bay ant i had just droppet the engine in . sorry i have no pics of the old engine and bay but they were awfull like the rest of the car lol.

go a new bonnet for 50 quid bargain. and some morrets alsoditched the cossy bumper

i als got rid of the rear si bumper and put a rs one back on

got ma t3 manifold readdy to be sprayed and wrapped

i cant afford to spend £100 on a shiny cam cover so check out this standard one iv wrapped with stainless steal. tell me what u guys think oh and heres my manifold wrapped.

i have grinded the ford badge off the side of the cam cover now i just need to finnish the bit of steal on the back and paint it up

i also fitted a laguna ssplitter thanks to small paul

and here it is ready to go to the body shop sometime this week

BACK FROM BODY SHOP

its bin resprayed now its a really good job pics r a bit crap but the finish is mint

fresh dusty paint lol

painted ma throttle body and replaced the bolts for stainless items also had to mount themaf sencer ect ect on the strut brace cuz it wouldnt fit (strange

finished ma £2.50 homemade camcover lol . im chuffed with it

made some bonnet risers to as i found some ally knocking about in the garage.

atempted to recon ma wheels as i want em black . advice to any one that does this is put the tyres on first but dont pop them on to the bead this leaves u about 2" behind the rim to do ya filler and get the paint in ect ect . no rattle can finish will survive the tyre machine lol

bit of a update not much though

right iv fitted my ally slam panel this had to be done as the previous owner was a chive prick

next was to sort my morrets out . the inner lights were rusty as fook and t exspensive and as there only spots so i took the hole surrounds out of myold mutant sub box ant they were nearly a perfect fit so i glued em in then painted em satin black they look ok and now i will get better airflow round my bay

then i started to mock fit my intercooler wich was a right bastard as the main mount mounts off the bonnet release catch that mounts to the slam panel that is no more lol

then i mounted it up propper after loads of adjustments and cuttin of my bumper and valance . i mounted using homemade ally brackets and a steal brace on top

also got a gauge holder from carbontec shop

inside is looking poorly now lol cant wait to get it out the garage

i painted these wheels they look prety good just need to get the tyres popped onto the bead

my coilovers gauges andact gauge is all fitted now

thats it for now ppl sorry progress is slow but im skint lol sorry pics r crap the missus broke the digi cam so im using the phone

right then progress has bin slow cuz of christmas and kids n stuff but now its out the way so im spending all my spare cash on my rs(money pit) and my mission is for it to be done for fitp ooooooo its gonna be close.

iv paindet the rest of my wheels and now the car sits on the floor for the first time in 7 months im over the moon with the gaz coilover

im still gonna go a bit lower with the car one i can be arsed to adjust em all again

i never did want bonnet catches and i still dont but i had to so iv got these it was a bit shit fitting em to a new and freshly painted bonnet but i think they are about the best bonnet catches about

got a 3/4 size front number plate not to sure about the size yet till i put it on beats the chive onese on it though lol

and heres some shit that iv brought
and fitted

just some standard discs im planning on some better breaks once iv got it on the road

i got some of these denso iridium plugs i had never herd of em b4 i whent to my local motor factors and i said whats the best plugs u have got and he gave me these they where £44 i thought that was a hell of alot of money for some plugs but since i brought em i have told a few ppl and they are ment to be pretty fucking good. oh and in deamon tweaks there £61

broght some boshc preformance leads to go with em dont know if there any good though

brought and fitted 2 new outer cv joints and bearings

and finally my home made dump valve blanking plug made on the lathe from 38mm ally bar took about 25 mins and looks the nuts

im looking at getting my t3 in the next week and i also have some vibra technics on order

not much but its somthing.

M8, well impressed with everything you have done to how it looked at first.

Change the mirrors tho... def need a set of mk3.5's on there in Black.

The Front mount looks the absolutle tits along with the laguna splitter, looks such a good fit.

very small update

i aint bin up to to much cuz im skint again and its cold

iv got the all the insides back in a part from the clock suround and some after market switches

iv stripped all the paint offf the underside and re undercoated it after welding a small hole i found.

everyone keeps moaning about my mirrors "so i thought fuck it" n changed em im glad i did cuz it breaks the red up with black and thats what i like

also finished my act gauge its all wired up now i like it looks differnt

got some smart seat covers dont know why i just wanted em and want to keep my recaros clean as my clothes r always black lol . (comes with owning a rs)

fitted my 3/4 size numberplate im happy with this it looks alot cleaner i know it wont pass a mot but i have a standard one for that

got a rear beam from scrappy iv painted it up and now im gonna replace all the bushes and fixings my old one was bent :-? :-?

AND HOW NICE IS THIS

my home made breather designed to fit where the t2 air box was . runs along the inner wing then bends round the front of the suspension turret

made from a peice of stainles 3 inch handrail.

inlets for 2 samco breater pipes :Q

mounting points in the bottom also act as sup plugs incase oil gets in and for cleaning
i just have to make 2 brackets fot it now
