this is my project for my purple fiesta si,

as some of you know i am only 16, so progress will be a bit slower than some of your projects, and funds are short so i will be doing all of the work apart from the final paint my self.

so please bear wih me lol, as always any ideas will be greatfully recieved.

now that project free fiesta is finished (and for sale lol)

ive gone out and bought a fiesta 1.6 16v si, for £100 lol

the main reason i got it so cheap is that it eats 2 front tyres in around 200 miles due to some very dead front arms, the ecu is shot and will only run with the maf unpluged (ive been told it the ecu) rack needs attention, four new tyres needed ad it needs new rear shocks and a hand break cable, oh and one new sill and 'attention to the rear quarter'

so heres some picis of her as i got it looking very sorry for its self




the other side is in worse condition, and it currently rolls on four different wheels, and its had some gay tint spray and glue put on every window which i need to clean off

so to start with, i gave it a good mopping and debaged it and fitted a mk4 rear wiper



much better, and the paint cleaned up quite well, much better than i thought it would,

does any body no what colour the car is called, its down as red on the log book need to be buying some, sort of flips from black to purple

ive started collecting a few bits for it
these include a set of mk4 clocks (white dial)
4x mondeo 16x7 5 spoke alloys (with brand new but odd feckin tyres 50 profile on rear , which are no good, and 45 on front. and there all 205 so going to struggle with them
a rs turbo body kit (arches and skirts) thanks again rs pickup
escort rs turbo calipers, grovved discs and mintexx pads,
gmax dampers and -40mm springs

all i need now is new front arms and a hand break cable and to get jiggy with the welder,

oh got a 4-2-1 manifold and decat sorted and hopefully a rs turbo bonnet if i can get my funds sorted (bear with me luke89)

ive now got 2 of the wheels rubbed down, repaired and painted satin black (no laquer yet, cant decide if i like them matt finish or not) ill get the other 2 done hopefully tommorow and get some pics up,
and ive got the clocks in and fitted, so ill get some piccys of that up,

front end is totally in pieces now, ready for new shocks, front arms and breaks,

also got the rocker cover off and painted


can any body tell me if 130ps 1800 cams or 2.0 cams wil fit my engine????? its still a 1.6

dunno if youre interested, but ive got a 1.8 zetec doing nothing (got 2.0 lump now) with 130 cams. i was going to just take the cams out to flog and scrap it as theyre worthless now. if you want it, you can have it for £40 - the price i was going to ask for the cams. no idea what millage its done but didnt use a drop of oil and ran really really smooth. nowt wrong with it, its just i have no use for it!

i thought it was the auburgine, as that what it says as a possible on the colour chart down halfords,

i was under the impression that you couldnt get this paint in a rattle can, but if it is that augburgine i can, brilliant lol

if u want to try a set of 130ps cam i have a cople of sets and a cople of 1.6 ones lol sure the lobes are to big and make the valve hit the pistion tho lol

If youre going to fit the 130/2L cams youll need a 1.8/2.0 head as 1.6 is poo

if you fit the 1.8/2.0 head then your compresson will be too low. The cams will fit i believe as Estate Agent did it on FEOC

been a bit quite with the car this week,
mainly due to fixing the bik but hey lol

major update is this week the other feista sold so ive got room for another of fords finest, so i shall be looking at a mk3 xr3i next week

ay way, the pile of bits is still growing fot the si, spacers are on oder, as is the paint, got me welder back to so weld that soon,

finally.................

time for a bit of an update,
got my finger out this week and bought some more gear,
mainly paint and primer, finally got the wheels totally finished


havnt got a pic off them all done, but the one on the bottom right it finished

started trying to take the front arms off but got really board, so i thought id come back to them another day,
same with the front suspensin really cant get the little drop link off

does any one no if i need to use spring compressors with this set up, need ot no asap

attended to the rear quarter, took the rear bumper of so i could weld the quarter, and found holes, and the reason my bumper doesnt sit right, its ahd a rear ender at some piont and not been repaiered

before




its welded up now, and luke89 stuck a layer off filler on whilst i was fannying with his lowering springs on the saph today,

ill get some pics up when photobucket stops shiting its self

opinion time,
i think the wheels are to big, want 15" really, i want the late rs2000 ones if any one is interested in doing a part ex, or any nice 15"

and
should i paint the rear lights all read (with red paint and laquer)????

also, got a 3 " super dragger hks exaust left over from our old evo sitting on the garge, so hopefully that will be making its way on to the car soon

leave the rear lights alone.. they will look gash painted!

as for the wheels, yeh 15s may have been a better choice but try them 1st befour u make your mind up.

the arch trimmage was in aid of the lowering i want to do, and the fack that i want to space the wheels al the way out to the edge of the arch, so i cut all the metal that had signs of rubbing away, and as luke said,

the new arch kit covers them so they will be getting a nice thik coat of strone chip.

dont really like the focus rims, but i d o like the sound of the rs2000 rims, how much your mte want for them, i think luke might be having my wheels , if he can come up with the mulah.

benn, have you seen those 106 with the all red rear lights, thats kinda what i was going for,


i need to work out today how many spacer i need to add to the bumper to get it back where it should be


also, does any body have a 2.0 throttle bodie for sale ???

i might just get some 195 /40 tyres and fit the 16"

done more on it today, painted rear drumbs and started to adjust slack out of the hand break, but think it needs a new cable, got my new shiney rocker cover fitted,
finished the rusty rear quarter and smoothed it ready forthe rs arches to be fitted,

just need ot do the bastid suspension now

its got a minty fiesta rs turbo grey leather one now with the wheel boss of another wheel so it just reads ford, insted of ford rs turbo

i do however need some 4wd cossie calipers asap, so i can fit them to the rs turbo then put the escort breaks on the fezz, i sold my si ones now have no breaks

finaly an update people,

the fiesta been pushed back due to toher comitments, and a naughtly little motor bike which likes to eat three engines in a week

also been ploughig time into the old mans skyline, may post some pictures of it up once ive finished the next stage of development

any way, back to the little fiesta,



engine is back together, for now any way, fitted a new air flow meter courtasy of luke 89 and shes running much better, as the beedy eyed amoung you will notice ive also removed the egr, once mot'd this will be followed by a 4-2-1 decat manifold and front pipe i have,

also replaced a little bolt that missing from the throttle bodie assembly now she idles puuuuurfect,

now, onto the interior, i wanted to check the condition of the floor having found some pretty seriouse rot on the out side, so out cam the interior, which had become a breading ground for mould lmao





this is the only reall bit of rot, and only goes through the interior skin, unfortuanatly its also eaten the vin plate lol


also tiny whole (like a 20p) where its been jacked up in the wrong place


very messy wireing which ill be changing



a random pic of the rear quarter being grinded down before filler, ill get a finished pictuure of it up tommorow



also started to fit the rs turbo body kit, but i need to play around with a sander and some fibre glass to get it to meet up to the si bumpers neatly, also removed the textured door handle and wing mirrors so i can rub them down and colour code them, ill put picis up of them in primer tommrow also



also, need some more wheels now as my mondeo ones now reside on luke89s sierra,
so if any one has got some interesting 15's or possibly 16's let me know.
