iv just finnished another project it was o full bare metal repaint on my mates 3 door i say bare metal as it had 28 coates of selulose paint that i couldnt do any thing with so i striped it all off to metal and started fresh
Is that skyline boys dads of the rsoc board?.........
yes mate thats the one
How come it had 28 coats of paint?!.........
Looks v.nice!
it used to be a concorse car and thay must of just repainted it all the time to freshen it up but they used selulose paint that wouldnt sand at all so any small inperfections or dents couldnt be sorted as easily so i striped it all off and started fresh good thing is it had no rust at all any where on the car
Only 27k miles, and it needed 28coates of paint WTF as it been left in a field...........
it had had all the paint work done before he got it mate but the thing with selulose is that it cant be sanded like 2k cause it never goes completley hard so if you get a small mark in the paint it is easier to fill it with catie and painted over than flated out it had that much paint on it that all the nice sharp body lines looked like a jelly mold and the car looked verry heavy if you can imagine what i mean
Looks well jacko,is that one coat of paint for each thousand miles on the clock
How do you get to count the layers anyhow is it that easy to tell ????
I dont mind the wheels they look fine .

you could count them mate as i sanded a small part on the quauter at the bottom of the window near the door edge and it shows up like the rings on a tree stump
