Does anyone know if the crankshaft from the 4.0 Explorer fits in the 2.8?
was rebuilding this if it fits!
I'm Not 100% sure but was the explorer crank not used in the 3.7 conversions?
EDIT- Found this online about power max conversions
a 3.7 litre capacity was achieved by taking the bore out to 95mm and lengthening the crankshaft stroke to 86mm giving an overall capacity of 3660cc. Pistons were replaced with Mahle versions, these had a revised compression ratio of 9.8:1. The engine was then balanced and blueprinted. Revised gas flowed cylinder heads which allowed better breathing but used the standard valves were also added. These were matched to the manifold port faces (the biggest problem with the Cologne had always been the siamesed ports). A reprofiled camshaft basically finished off the engine work. To this was added a free flow stainless steel exhaust.
I now wanted to obstruct the 2.9 crankshaft as I have, they are there.
if the 3.7 would fit well where I get the, for us, only blocks from the 4.0 available?
Where did you get front bumper/ splitter from?
Spoke to another guy from Germany and he had same one but said it was from a company no longer trading!

very nice looking car.i have an xr4i.how does your one drive.mine just has no power.can you please help.the engine is still very good.sometimes it battles to get to 80kph.
