Mondeo MK2 lighting help...
Okay been a while since I posted on here but I'm after a bit of sensible advice regarding my lighting on the Mondeo...
It's the MK2 as the title says and basically I find the lighting p*ss poor on our roads so I'm looking for a decent upgrade I've tried 100w Ring RallySport's and found them very yellow, I've stuck a set of the multi-layered filter Xenon's which work fantastic...but the car eats them, 2 sets in 5 weeks to be exact. Got a set of blue xenon ones in now that although shine a lot whiter...they're crap!
Is it worth me sticking a set of HID's in the main and dip beam? wouldn't mind updating the front end a bit too is there any headlights fr the mondeo with the clear lenses rather than the god-awful glass lens I know Essex racing do some with the projector light unit in them which look gorgeous...but £199 a pair!!!
And is there anywhere to mount a set of the projector style foglights either in the foglight recesses or somewhere near so I can tap into the circuit for fogs, bought a set today cheap ex-display models that are seriously bright and are far better than standard ones...just dunno where to stick em!!!

I recently fitted some H4 bulbs to my astra mk3 that astounded me, they were the Halfords own brand super brilliance, if they do them in your H3(?) fitting I'd use them without hesitation, I'm going to be fitting some to my sapphy in H4 and H3(inners).
Prior to this on the astra I'd used HID, philips extreme and osram nightbreaker, but despite coming 1st and 2nd each year in auto express bulb tests ahead of the Halfords they are not a patch on them, halfords may be twice the price of the osrams but they are way more than twice the light.
I'm using the Halfords super brilliance over the HID, much much better imo.

Mine are H7 for dipped and H1 for main beam, I just begrudge paying £24.99 for one bulb...for mine it'd cost me £100 to do 4 bulbs!!!
I did look at em and the assistant said they werebuy one get one free so I thought about it got to the counter and he said that they'd come off of the special offer now and it'd be £49.98 for the 2 to which I said I wasn't paying not at that price!
