what puma to get?
im looking at buying a puma soon for a runabout car. have been looking on autotrader and seems 4500 should get a tidy low miler.
question is - who's driven both the 1.4 and 1.7? is there much difference in power/handling/fuel economy/etc? my sister has a 1.7 and i'm very impressed with the whole car really!
insurance is only 150 difference so dunno which to go for!

My mrs has a 1.7 with 37k on the V plate Goes like stink.
I like it for extra power Although a pal of mine in the trade recons the 1.4 is better news from a selling point of veiw. (think most have a larger difference than you on insurance premiums)
She might be selling in the news year

too late i bought a KA! perfect cheap tidy car and everything i need. but im bored with the lack of power already! so think it will have to be the 1.7 puma for the summer even if it is just a runabout!

1.7 all the way, 1.4 is good but doesnt have the power to back the chassis up. My puma engine has done 80k and is going strong even with the beating i give it

The Racing Puma was a little bit of a rip-off.
Come on then everyone, attack me for that! Five stars in Evo for the 1.7 - they say everythings right with it and nothings wrong with it.z
