Default Help with "CAT C" write off

Been offered a CAT C write off, whats it mean? will it need inspecting? the cars half finished

It may or may not need a VIC test ring this number with the cars reg number and they will tell you 087060440, im currently repairing a golf that diddnt need testing.

its a sva test and afaik its £60

Some need inspecting some slip throught the net. Costs 35 quid if i remember right. You need to take it to a VOSA inspection centre and they check that it is the car it should be. ( not a ringer). It will then have a note on the logbook saying that it has been checked.

Its sometimes better if they do need a vic check, the £35 you pay also includes a new logbook aswell wich usually cost £19 and all being well if the car passes the vic you can tax the vehicle with the pass sheet from the test as proof of ownership instead of haning on for the logbook to come through the post to tax the car.
