American MPH and British MPH
Was googling the definition of a ten second car (if mid 10's count as a ten second car lol) and the voice of wisdom and knowledge came along...

a 10 second car is a car that does the 1/4 mile in 10.something seconds
a 9 second car is something that does it in 9.something
so for the supra to JUST beat the 355 (with it's 1/4 mile time of 12.9 seconds) i'm not sure the supra is actually a 10 second car in either measurement
a 9 second car is something that does it in 9.something

As already posted a 10 second car is 10.99 to 10.000 car, 9 second being 9.99 to 9.00. I want to hear what that guy thinks the differences between an American mile and a British one is.

Haha, my car's a ten second car. But in europe a ten second car is a 7 second american car That makes no sense. And I presume he means terminal speed not terminal velocity

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
i've been drag racing for years, if the time starts with a 10 its a 10 second car, there is a clue in the time, 10.x is a 10 second car because its time started with a 10, its not rocket science, even if the time is 10.99 you have broken into the tens, so now would have a 10 second car.

Decimal point.
To the left of it.
That's what number you'd "call" it.

I know the yanks do a lot of things differently to us but they cannot alter time. This is so simple , if a car does a quarter mile in 9.75 seconds it is a 9 second car, if it does it in 10.02 it is a 10 second car. What is confusing people?

a 10 second car is a car thats in the 10s, if its under 10 then its in the 9s so a 9 second car, everywhere on the web it will tell you the same and every drag racer will tell you the same, its just another way of saying that your car is in the 10s

But if it's a 10.9 second car then you start your time with a 10? How can it not be a 10 second car the number starts with 10 seconds so saying its not makes no sense
