Do tell more. I assume it is a bigger casing to house the bigger, stronger gears plus the extra one?

oem Top gear ratio seems about right for aussie highway speeds for escos on 225/40-18's.
I like the short 1st for crawling when stuck with traffic or getting off the mark for trackday stuff.
I find for some trackday stuff a ratio between the oem 1st & 2nd would be ideal.
Obviously a car for all purposes is a compromise.
An extra slow shifting cog may not make the car quicker, so shift speed would need to improve by 20% to make up for another gear change.
