hi guys

had a scary moment today on the M1,

Was motoring along in the right hand lane, then bang, my tire blew out, !!!!

i almost lost control, and i swayed into the middle lane, lucky for me there was no one there,

Managed to pullover on the hard shoulder, and stick the hazards on,

but while the hazards were on, and my phone on charge via the cig lighter, my car bat died, so i had to call the aa

my bro was on the way up to me because i had no spanners, but i rang him and told him not to bother, as i wasn't prepared to endanger people by trying to jump start on the motorway for obvious reasons,

but because i was not a member of the AA, i had to pay £160 and then join for 12 months


its an st170, and i was on the way to evans halshaw in bourhamwood to en-quire about trading her in for an st225 lol, was this my car throwing a tantrum???? lol

Bloody hell! You are on the lucky side, and its a sign, keep it, supercharge it and abuse it!!

was thinking that andy lol, she is a lovely car, with every bolt on mod you could think of, she goes real well, just a bit too old, and the gearbox was playing up (got it adjusted) but the mechanic said it was only a temp fix,

real shame, id love to turbo her, as ive got 6k to spend (through finance) but i could end up with a real expensive engine in a tired chassis, (125,800)l it would be better spent on a newer model

even though i had this happen to me, i got the wheel changed, and the bat recharged, and continued on my journey, but unfortunately , evans and halshaw had sold all there st225's, they are a vaxhall company, but offer other models aswel,

they tried to par me of with a astra vxr, but im only after the focus st225, took him half an hour to finally accept that i did not want a vxr, lol

Normally I'd think 160 quid, what a rip off, but after that, bet you didn't mind too much!?

I remember, years ago on the M1, the car in front just suddenly moved left, to reveal a car that had spun into the barrier, that was an eye opening moment!!
Glad you got to the hard shoulder ok!!
