Thumbs up Mk6 Fiesta Abs light staying on ?

Hi everyone, Ive just fitted a Sub & Amp to my mk6 fiesta all fine and everything. Next Day on start up the abs light stayed on even after being driven it stays on, Theres nothing wrong with the brakes there all fine and i was wondering if anyone knows what might be the problem?

You Could try disconnect the battery over night and see if that resets the light failing this diagnostics will be needed incase it's a faulty sensor.
Reason I ask about the speedo is the mk6 is prone to frying the abs module this happened in my girlfriends car two month out its warranty period but if it goes you don't get a speedo reading as this is done through the abs sensors. Maybe you have knocked a wire or something When running your power cable for your amp so I would also check connection on abs module

Yeah, ive disconnected all the stereo & amp completely and started it and the lights still there on start up and a quick drive... Might disconnect the battery over night like you said and try and reset the ecu and see if that does anything. I think its a problem with the ecu because the brakes are fine, under hard braking none of them lock up or anything so the abs works but i dunno, to much electrical stuff on modern cars...

Is the abs actually working though and pumping the brake pedal as you may just not be locking up the brakes as I have only seen her abs work in the snow not even felt it in the wet.

Check the ABS relay. I had a similar problem in my Sierra and it turned out the relay was sticking on (so the pump would prime up from time to time even with the ignition off), putting this light on and, killing the battery.

does anybody solve that problem?

I have same problem in 2008 fiesta st. diagnostic code is U100. today I touched front abs sensors, and problem has gone. but later same day, I swap my rims and now again same error.

So it can be front abs sensors, abs module.. what else? How to be sure module has gone (or sensors)? because there is just one error code u1900 which doesnt tell me what exactly has gone

We had the code read on my misses car and the machine said unable to communicate with abs module.
Her speedo also didn't work.
Best getting it put on a code reader mate.
