cologne 2.8 camshaft????

Default cologne 2.8 camshaft????

I have a 2.8injection capri On a A reg (83) and just about to order a fast road cam and apparantly there are two diffrent types large bearing or small bearing without taking it all apart before i order it any way of knowing?????

On that year it should only be one size, I can't remember which though!!
You have to take it apart to put the cam in so why not wait until you have it apart and then measure journal size.
I have a 2.8i flywheel FREE if you want it, other wise binning it.(pm if interested)

think early ones are small bearing, but not 100%

I thought sierra blocks had larger bearing and all capris had smaller?

The large cam bearings are fitted to post 1982 engines.

Dug out some info from when I fitted a piper cam to my capri
Bearing sizes Pre 1982 =1.652"/41.90mm. Post 1982 =1.730"/43.90mm.
