Default Pf09 / pf01

Hi

A mate of mine has a 1991 Sapphire 4X4 and has been having a few issues with idle and hunting on tick over.

We have checked for vac leaks and done a vac test and all is well, so my next thought was the TPS...

When i looked at it i saw that it had a "RED" TPS fitted and thought hey presto found issue as i thought all the PF01 sensors were red.

On removing the sensor is had stamped on it PF09.

Which i thought were all black.

Has anyone else go any PF09's that are red in colour ????

Cheers

If you zoom and squint you can kind of see the red behind the idle speed control valve

I think this is the problem the reading are all over the place.

Can some one confirm what readings should be at closed throttle and throttle fully open.
( PF09 )

Roughly 0.5 closed throttle to 4.5 open throttle. iirc I set mine to around 0.35 closed throttle maybe even less but can't quite remember it was that long ago
