Default Temperature gauge sender

Hi all

So I got in the car this morning and noticed the temperature gauge didn't move. Had a look at the sender and the whole head of the sender has snapped clean off, leaving the rest of the sender stuck inside the head! Looks like it's rotted away.

Any ideas how I can get the rest of the sender out? There's no thread sticking out at all.

Use an eezyout, the sensor is only made of brass so should come out no bother.

Mine done the same. You'll be on longer taking the inlet/plenum off and making space than the job will take.

What a pain but yeah - once you can get to it the soft brass should make it an easy pull out. Good luck

If it's a 2wd the sensor is at the front of the head not back........

As said ez out should work fine, may pay to put a bit of heat on it first to help loosen it!!!

Cheers guys , the heads got to come off her now anyway as she's started burning loads of oil and killing the spark in piston 4, chewed through a dodgy valve stem oil seal... I hope!!!

Going to take the sender out with the head off.
