I did a search but couldn't find much on here or Google...it seems to get swamped with TVR or RS Turbo conversiosn using 4x4 discs.

I have removed the rear calipers but the rear discs seem to be well and truly stuck on whereas the fronts just slip off.

There is a big hub nut on the end of the drive shaft and I have assumed that I do not need to undo this to release the disc but did not want to put a puller on the disc to remove it without checking first.

I wonder if the discs are just stuck on with corrosion?

If you want to keep the disc use a big rubber mallet, if you don't hit it with the largest heaviest hammer you've got.

Try spraying some WD40 into the disc bell from the back, aiming for the small gap between the bell and the hub flange. The discs can rust badly and jam onto the hubs. I've had to spend an age tapping the outer rim of the disc and the bell to break up the rust before the disc would pull off before.

I will remove them this weekend so will spray them today to soak in

Make sure it hasn't got one of those serrated washer thingies holding it on before you start beating the crap out of it

Where would the serrated washer be then?

They're on the wheel stud, might be covered in crap so a bit difficult to spot

Ok, Thanks...I will have a good look. Normally a quick tap and discs seem to pop off but these seemed very well on there when I looked at it last weekend.

I am going to give MK rear discs a go off here with the larger bells (300mm discs) and keep the std calipers for now.

Yey! Thanks for the help all, gave them a soak in wd and a tap with a big hammer and off they came! Just need the new discs to arrive now. Also doing the hydraulic clutch conversion ready for the oppliger close ratio

Thanks Glenn, I cleaned the hubs with sand paper and then copper greased them. I couldn't work out why the carriers would not clear the MT 20mm wide discs n bells is I sent a pic to Mark....30 mins later he sent a text back to say that I had 2wd calipers on the back??? So now I need to refurb a 4x4 set to finish them off. The service from MT was brilliant. I had tried to buy from a well known seller of kits but despite emails, phone calls, and a nudge on his post I gave up. 1 pm to MT and I ordered, next day a beautifully packed parcel arrived.
