It's only the late 4x4s that differ. Most are round plugs, the later ones are oval.

Think some of the later 4x4 saph had them too Glenn. A bought a complete rear beam out of a late saph and they where oval.

I thought it was just the escorts that were different. My Jreg 1991 saff has the old style round plugs.

I'm looking at buying a pair from David.

Here's a pic of my connectors

I did not know if the different 2WD and 4WD part numbers were to do with the amount of teeth on the abs ring

Microcat info is:

2WD Finis 1654336

4WD Finis 6175345

Thanks for any info

The difference may be the wire length. My loom (4x4) extends further towards the front of the car than in the photo you've put up.

Anyone know 100% if the 4x4 ones are compatible with the 2WD set up?

I do not want to buy a pair that give me problems when my car eventually goes back together

Cheers
