cosworth lower rad pipe cold

Default cosworth lower rad pipe cold

hi guys, i just put my engine back together in my 4x4 cos, started it yesterday ran it for 5 mins and the hoses were getting warm, but the lower rad pipe was ice cold. whats the cause of this? is it the thermostat?

What was your temp gauge at? 5 minutes running stationary may well not get the engine hot enough to open the thermostat?

Its could be a blocked rad,matrix or sticking stat.Run it so the temp gauge reads good and then check.Make sure there is no air in there.
