Default 2wd Saph underbonnet carpet

As title did they have one originally? I have a 4x4 one to fit but of course it has the vent cut outs which wont look right I guess.

If you mean the sound deadening I think the 2wd had the similar sort of thing just without the cut out bit for the vents, I could be wrong though

Yes Charlie the sound deadening .The 4x4 one comes with a small heat shield on it too.
It also has a rubber seal at the front part of it sealing along the front panel.
Being as 2wd without vents I thought it would be a good move if it physically fitted on the bonnet underside.
Someone must know . If its ghia's only that had them it,ll be hard to source 2wd version if they are about.

I am pretty sure the non cosworth sierra came with them , hate the fact we have thrown out parts that fit the cosworth that we could have kept

Ah ha it looks good. Although hard to see it properly . Interesting Ford seem to of missed the Cosworth 2wd saph with this. I may well use my 4x4 one and get my local trimmer to sort the vent holes .

it's purely there for sound deadening, but seeing as there is also the potential for a fire, that's probably why so many cars don't have it, even if it was fitted from new

I have one on my saph and it's got the vent cut outs. Can't remember if there is heat protective material on there now. Even got the rubber lip at the front of the bonnet

without these I'm scared on rainy days when the water vaporizes on the bonnet almost every time I stop the car.
Genuine or good quality ones should be flame-resistant, so nothing to worry about.

My 2wd saph has 1 and has done for last 15 years and car is standard. I have a spare if you still need it? You will have to collect or arrange courier
