Sapphire clocks
My speedo needle is a bit jumpy so ive been looking into getting a new set of clocks. Ive got an E plate RWD sapphire and the clocks have a boost gauge in the top left corner. Ive just been looking around to find a direct replacement and came accross this thread:

It seems that the sapphires never came with a boost gauge? ive looked through all my cars history and receipts and theres none in there for a change of clocks.
Is it possible that really early saphs had the 3door clocks and wiring?

They are 3DR clocks, as you say the Saph didn't have a boost gauge, the reason being is it would not fit in with the cars executive image.
You can easily distinguish MK1 clocks from MK2's, the latter look completely different, also the battery warning light in a different place.
