Default 2wd cos feul pump no trigger help!

Dug the cossie out the garage today spent allday cleaning it then put jump leads on turned it over, it started then cut out after a second or two, then noticed smoke coming from battery, quickly took jump leads, the earth from battery to bodywork had melted then noticed that nut on battery was a bit loose so put a new earth in then tightened it all up, went to start again and nothing, feul pump isnt kicking in, went to boot where relay is for pump (previously rewired) had power from battery but no trigger, linked the pump out car ran perfect, so where does the trigger wire go back to (the switch in boot has already been linked) ??? Any help would be grateful its going for mot in morning hopefully

it is common for the pump rewire loom kits to use the original fuel pump power supply to activate the relay
I'd check the fuse on the original fuel pump relay under the dash behind the glove box for a saph cosie
the original relay is earth switched by the ecu when certain criteria are met

there are 2 yellow relays one is the injector relay the other is the fuel pump relay the injector relay activates the fuel pump relay . Both are controled by the ecu
wiring diagram can be found here http://www.bigturbo.co.uk/
