Picked the car up this evening from my local garage after having my gear linkage repaired. When it broke it was stuck in second gear. Box changes gear fine apart from it won't go in 2nd at low revs, you need to match the engine speed to get it in, so I think I'm right in assuming the syncro is shot on 2nd (correct me if I'm wrong) any advice would be much appreciated, is it a common failure (along with the linkage)?
