Default 330mm brakes / 3dr hubs

Fitted my 330's up and the discs are very close to the edge of the hub where the TRE fits up

Is this right, i can't remember the space between the std items

This is the bells pushed right on to the hub as if the wheel was attached what are you thoughts ??????

Just put the feeler gauges down there and it's 0.254mm

I suppose i could run the grinder of the edge of the hub just to clean it up and remove some of the built up crust - i'm under the impression that when the wheel is fitted up and torqued they won't anywhere - if i can get a few mm on the hub they should be fine????

The bells and brackets are from Martin at Reyland specially made for CXN alloy's so maybe to get the extra room inside the wheel they have had to compromise on the hub side - i will clean off the surface of the hub by gently running the grinder over it and see what it's like then - in the mean time i will try and see what Martin says and hopefully Pete will get me a picture of his car with this kit on to compare.

Chris, I had this problem on my old Saff, I made a 2mm spacer to fit behind the disc. And just took a couple of mill off the bracket.

If you want a pair let me know and I'll stick some in the post mate

Just cleaned them up, took the crusty top off the hub and has opened the gap to 1.5mm

with the wheel on the disc doesn't move but i'm not sure if brakes have play or any movement once the car is running - the way this car will be driven i'm still not 100%

If you're happy with that mate fair enough, if not just let me know and I'll sort you some spacers, anywhere from 1.2mm - 5mm is no problem

1.5mm is more than enough clearence so no spacers needed. Btw that disc is on the wrong side.

Just to clarify why these discs sit so close..... My std 330mm AP kit sits the disc 6mm further outwards as clearence isn't normally an issue however when using a CXN my std kit won't fit without using a wheel spacer hence the rose jointed TRE's and further inset bells.
