Lowering a Sapph...
Have a sapph here and the time has come to finally get a set of springs for her instead of the bosch adjustables... anyone no where to get 60mm springs for them? I know they can be got but in n.ireland there next to impossible to find a set... and cant find them new on the internet etc. Or is there any other springs that will fit them, and sit tight? Cheers

Never knew bosch made adjustables ?
As said ebay, or phone up suppliers, a lot will do a 50mm drop I wouldn't go any lower, the fixation some have about getting the car as low as possible is not all good news, and don't always help the car.

60mm will sit it on the floor, quite literally lol!
Even 50mm is excessive imo!
There is plentiful supply, just not the drop you looking for, most likely for good reason!
Also as said if your doing it just to follow the crowd then stop right now because you will end up ruining the geometry by going to low!

Lowest you can get on ebay is 40mm's, you can get 60s there as rare as hens teeth but they can be got. Cavalier 60s fit in the front, im just trying to find a set of backs to match now so they dont fall out when i jack her up lol

Mine is now about 1" HIGHER than std as I have slightly larger wheels/tyres 225/45x17(all round), but that's a bonus, there is a nasty sleeping plod at the entrance to our estate, can't/couldn't get over it 4 up, expect I can now even when towing the caravan.

Paul RS,
It's hard to believe you and others are that gullible, don't trust something just because it is written.
To be "made" to work with a certain damper the first requirement would be that the damper was CONSTANT, the fact that is it adjustable throws this out straight away, it would also be "made" for a specific wheel weight, and tyre weight and size, these both affect the amplitude of the wheel in compression and rebound, go away from either of these and again any "design" is nullified.
Have you ever seen a shock for example when it is tested on a machine I have lots of times, the characteristics vary enormously between settings, if they didn't there would be no point in any adjustability.
So whilst the can be "designed" to work best with one variation of wheel/tyre/ weight size this is ONLY 1 persons opinion of what's best, and is that for the road or tack, rally loose gravel, tarmac rally, race tires, road tires,
Having used AB springs which were excellent I preferred avo/chassis dynamics on KONI ADJUSTABLE, but that is only what I prefer, just the same as ab interpretation is what he prefers, ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL.

I have AB springs and AVO shocks, and mine sits low at the back, AND I've got 17x8s at the rear which sit too close to the arches. Once I get some Konis I'll post some comparison pics. IMO, at the minute, it's marginally too low at the front, but definitely too low at the rear. It doesn't drag as much as it used to either.
