Default Cosworth rear ABS toothed cog ??

I have just de-rusted the rear drive shaft stub axle which has also stripped the toothed ABS cog back to clean metal, does any one know if it is ok to spray paint it to stop it rusting again or would this effect the ABS sensor from reading properly.

Cheers

better to leave it as it is as you'll have to clean out the paint from the spokes of the ring

What do you mean dojj, surely if I don't protect it somehow it will rust and affect the censor reading properly anyway, the problem with the rears on the cosworth is that cog is not sealed within the hub like it is on the fronts so I thought a coat or two of paint would keep it clean and rust free,

I would like to know if anyone else has done this and wether they noticed any effect on the ABS, I was just going to smear some grease on it but all that will do attract dirt and grit to stick to it.

A light coat won't effect it at all. use something like that watery high temp stuff, so you are almost staining it rather than painting it?

Brush them clean and stick them back in again, otherwise you'll have to strip the rear end down to get the buggers out again
