Default How do I fit rs500 fog grills?

Just bought a set of rs500 fog grills but can't work out how to fix them into the bumper, they've got a metal spring clip on them, is that all that holds them in or does the indicator hold them in aswell? There is also like a ball shaped bit at one end of the grill that looks like it should pop into a ball socket in the bumper but there's nothing in my bumper for it to fit into, is there something missing from the bumper?

is your bumper a fibreglass replica?
there should be square holes for the spring clip to fit into and the ball goes onto where the foglight would adjust from.

You've probably gotta swap the plastic clip from your fog lamp onto the grille.....it clips over the ball socket and then fits into the two slides on the bumper. They fit just the same as the fog lamps.

The bumper has a ford stamp on the inside of it so I assume it's a genuine one.
Sounds like im missing the plastic clips for the ball to fit into then, i don't have any fog lamps at the moment, just two holes in the bumper so I will have to try and get hold of some of these plastic clips.
Thanks for your help.

Found my old foglights in the shed, the lenses were smashed to bits but both plastic clips are still intact!! So I've got the end where the plastic clips are fitted nicely but the end with the spring clip is a little loose, is this something to do with the bolt and lock nut that's there? Do I need to adjust it or something to make the grill fit tight?

Hmm thats odd, they should be quite tight if correctly clipped in place. The allen bolt just adjusts the angle of the lens. You hooked the wire bit over the back then pulled the clasp back over until its snapped down into place?

I must be doing something wrong with the spring clip, feeling a bit silly really I'm an engineer by trade and can't even figure how these should fit! lol
