Default 2wd Cosworth handling terrible!!!!

Gents am after some urgent advice! With less than a week before i travel over 200 miles to santa pod for central day my 2wd cosworth has developed a nasty handling problem!!

Basically as i'm driving the car will suddently veer off of its own accord! just for a second, pulling the car predominantly right, it feels just like a big gust of wind has hit the side of the car and taken me off course for a second, the car generally feelss unstsable! It doesnt do it all the time but over 5 miles say it would do it half a dozen or so times, at speed its dangerous!!

My breaks have always been suspect on the car, it always seemed to get very unstable under breaking from any kind of spped, could it be related? Or is it a broken shock or spring or chasis problems i just have no idea, has anybody else had this kind of problem or have any idea what it could be?

Am desperate to take the car to pod but as it is it scares me!!!!

Any help is greatly appreciated and worthy of a beer if your at central day!!!

Could the rear trailing arm bolts come loose or get looser as the bushes wear? Is it worth me checking the toorque on them? Its a scary thing when the car appears to have a mind of its own!

I'd agree with looking at the TCAs first then the roll bar mountings. Back end wise the beam bushes can go soft as heck, so maybe get a bar in there and check them too?

Good luck - sounds awful!!

My lower arm bushes are goosed at the minute, the passenger side wheel has an inch of play near enough and the handling is hairy to say the least. I got some inner and outer powerflex bushes from Woodford garage for £90 delivered. Ford don't stock them anymore.

Could it be the steering thingys ? Don't know the spesific english word, but it's the adjustable rods connected to the steering itself. Going out to each wheel actually turning the wheels. God my english sucks

The dictionary gave me "steering ram"..
