Default phase sensor and battery drain!

i have a battery drain on my car and the car has been running rough lately.

so i decided to buy a new dizzy cap, phase sensor and rotor arm.

i have dismantled but not fitted yet.

when removing the phase sensor i noticed that the two wires were bare hardly any plastic coating at all!

my question is could this potentially cause a power drain?

many thanks and all the best!

No it wouldn't. The Engine loom is only 'live' when the ignition is turned on

As said it cannot cause a drain, but some iffy running it will cause.
Just make sure the new phase sensor is the right way around wire wise, the top red wire goes to the terminal in the side of the dizzy body nearest to it.

It's quite easy to chech where the battery drain is.
Take of the negative battery pole, and measure the amp between the clamp and the pole. When you have the ignition on.
If you get a result over 0.03 amp, you could remove fuses one at the time and check when the result is getting smaller.

Sorry about the bad english, im from Norway
