On a well set up engine a T34 with 63 housing should make a nice drivable 400 bhp.

My spec which im hoping for around 450 out of

Lightened and balanced long studded bottom end
mountune WRC block
arrow rods
Big winged gated sump
Ported and polished big valve head with matched inlet
ava inlet plenum with large throtle body
Mountune cams and piper vernier pulleys
Universal turbosT38 turbo
Siemens 83lb/hr injectors
Full stainless mongoose exhaust with decat
Pro alloy 65mm cooler
Colins ecu

You'd get pretty close to that yes, or maybe reach it, BUT how long the turbo lasts i wouldn't like to say...

Harvey did a good 400hp build as a mate of mine has one that has done 30k now without coming to bits OR needing a turbo.

Long studded 200 block,
Lowered C/R
Ported cylinder head
SCS Cams ?
T34.55
Light blues on level 8 with water injection (now removed)

2.2 bar spike, holding 2 bar was 400hp/420lb ft when dynoed

Engine recently made 375hp on TOTD rollers, down on boost to what it was and obviously tired, IMO it wouldn't be that far off 400hp if it ran the boost it did.

Kev Mk2's old Bluesprint engine made 405hp and 460lb ft on a T34.63, I'm unsure of complete spec but it wasn't really low compression and ran 8 blues on a wrc manifold. That engine was enough to give him a 11.3 run up Santa Pod.

T38 just pulls really well though Kev..

To be honest kev ive never driven my car on boost with the T38 only over to ava on the old engine then the spec went a bit mad, realy should be going for the same T4 as Euan has or GT30 to do the rest of the engine any justice.
Think the UT t38 is ment to be on boost around the same time as a T34 .63 but pulls harder up the revs and gives a smooth power curve.

I will run over 32psi with the T38 if its still making power.

Its nearly ready to fire up i think that most of the custom bits are done now, was a bit of hassel getting the new 65mm cooler to fit because of the size of the rad i have fitted. All the remote filter and oil cooler is also done, think its just the plenum and throttle body to finnish now the new cooler is in.Will be start of the year now by the time it is ran in and ready to map, hope to have a mullet box in it by then aswell.

KSA-Cossie - Its plenty tbh ! combined with good brakes and suspension its mighty fast on track.

Best mod by far though is the 3.9:1 rear diff he fitted ! its like having another 40hp everytime you gun it

The cwp came out of TiB's 3 door which still managed 170+ at Brunters so it doesn't really affect top speed that much

Staffi - I know ! must of had a mad spike to get that torque, certainly done the business in the car though

Not been on the rollers with mine yet but i am told it should make around 400bhp.

205 Block
Wossner Forged Pistons
Mildly ported Head
Kent CW1 Inlet cam and Standard exhaust
RS500 Cooler
4x Greys
T4
L8 ecu live mapped by Ahmed.

Just taken it out for the first time since Croft and first time in the wet. I think 'Interesting' covers it, i am glad i was on the airfield and not the road.

The thing is i have been driving Trucks and Diesels for the last 2 months so anything over 200bhp is going to seem fast at the min.

Similar story really - not been on a dyno, but based on comparison with others that have, mine should be at the 400bhp mark.

General spec....

-Esco 200 bottom end lightened and balanced
-With 2wd head, comp ratio is 7.8:1 as measured (using std comp pistons)
-mildly flowed head by tipton garage (very good job by all accounts)
-std cams inlet and exh

-Turbo Technics T34 with 0.63 exh housing and inconel wastegate
- Black Siemens injectors 550cc IIRC
- L8 4x4 management with closed loop and wasted spark
- RS 500 intercooler
- K&N Air filter (induction style)
- Magnex exhaust turbo back

and last but most importantly,

- Mapped live by Stu at MSD.

Feels soo strong, and pulls like a train.
